MR angiography (magnetic resonance imaging)

Radiation free MR angiography is a standard method for the visualisation of neck, abdomen/pelvis and leg arteries for the early detection of circulation disorders, for example as a result of narrowed vessels. It is a gentle, non-invasive alternative to conventional angiography (using a catheter).

In addition, constrictions of the coronary vessels can be displayed by means of 3D angiography.

This three-dimensional visualisation of vessels and thus the examination from all angles and at many levels is also possible for the carotid artery, aorta, arteries in the brain and renal arteries. These blood vessels are also susceptible to arteriosclerotic deposits.
